Death Note

Just bought the comics. This series is great!

There is a lot of reading involved, but the story unfolds in interesting and sometimes unexpected ways to keep the tension high throughout the story arcs.

Everything starts when a guy picks up a notebook from the underworld. If owner of the notebook thinks about a person and then writes down that person's name on the pages, then the owner is able to kill magically. What happens when people are given such power and ability? Just read the first volume and see if you like it. I really enjoyed it.

As an added bonus, you can take from the series many ways to start your own cult. Highly recommended.
