Happy birthday Dad!

Happened to see sun light hitting a glass half-full of something colorful, and that it made a nice pattern on the surface it was sitting on.

So I tried to re-create the image with a 3D modeling/rendering software. Turned out to be much more difficult than expected and had to do quite a bit of experiment. Even though it is based on physical world settings, the end result has a surreal quality to it that cannot be achieved on paper?
